Commune of the Children (Kids’Club at the Commune by the Great Wall Kempinski) is designed for children between 3 and 12. The furniture and facilities are designed according to children’s heights and the interior deco is bright and colorful. We offer a wide range of activities including natural trail hiking, gardening, cooking, arts and crafts, star gazing, outdoor swimming and camping.

Library-Poplar Kids’ Republic Picture Bookshop

Poplar Kids’ Republic Picture Bookshop is the first children’s bookstore which offers a wide range of books from around the world in languages including Chinese, Japanese, Korean and English. The books with illustrations are from some of the world’s top publishers. The bookstore is also a library where activities like storytelling and happy reading are arranged.

Cooking Class

Playhouse is a favorite game of almost every child growing up. How about letting them cook with real food? At this cooking class, children learn how to work with their friends, and their interests in cooking will be well cultivated.  In the end, they will feel very rewarding and proud of their cooking skills when they serve their friends with the food prepared by their own hands

Hiking to the Great Wall

Outdoor activities are almost always fun for children. Commune of the Children offers special opportunities for them to learn in the Nature. Climbing up onto the Great Wall and trace the star map sounds like a good one. What’s more, they will surely fall in love with the Great Wall and Chinese culture.
